Eye protection goes on whenever a machine is running — and whenever you are within reach of someone running one. There is no “I’m just doing one cut.”

No power tool until a coach trains you and signs you off on that specific tool. Each sign-off goes on the shop wall. Knowing the drill does not mean you know the bandsaw.

Closed-toe shoes, every time. Tie back long hair. Remove loose sleeves, drawstrings, lanyards, and jewelry before stepping up to anything that spins or cuts.

One student operates a machine at a time. Everyone else stays close enough to see, not to reach.

Don’t reach into a running printer or touch someone else’s print. If it will run after the meeting, tell a coach — the same rule as a battery on the charger.

If a tool is broken, tagged out, or mid-repair, it stays off. Don’t be the one who decides it’s fine. Report it if you’re the first to notice.
