Building competence and learning teamwork through robotics
Bennington Area Robotics brings middle and high school students together to design, build, and program robots with local technical mentors. We compete in FIRST Tech Challenge and welcome students from the Bennington area and neighboring New York communities.
Students learn to build productive working relationships on complex technical projects. They practice working reliably and respectfully with others, including people whose approaches differ from their own.
We are a youth program of Bennington Area Makers in Bennington, Vermont.

- Wednesdays: 5:30–7:30 PM

Joining
Joining begins with a visit to a team meeting. Contact info@bamvt.com to arrange a visit or ask about the program.
After the visit and coach approval, enrollment requires both payment of the program fee to Bennington Area Makers and registration with FIRST.
Students may join during the season when space and coaching capacity allow. Participation in competitions and trips depends on attendance, preparation, and following team expectations. Coaches will discuss available opportunities before enrollment.
Students and families are expected to follow our Code of Conduct. Roles and Responsibilities explains how students participate.

Our Teams
- 18650 Cookie Clickers — Founded in 2019. First-ranked team and Inspire Award winner at the 2026 Vermont Championship; competed at FIRST Championship in Houston.
- 32473 Bennington Bolts and Biscuits — Founded in 2025. Seventh of 25 teams at the 2026 Vermont Championship; advanced to the New England Premier Event.
